Preach 2023 Special Issue
Presenters at Preach 2023 will be invited to submit a full manuscript based on the research they present in Toronto to one of two Special Issues! The first will be published in Psychology & Sexuality, and the second will be published in the Journal of Femininities!
More information concerning submission guidelines and instructions will be provided closer to the conference date (June 2023).
Anticipated Publication Timeline:
Abstracts & Letter of intent - due August 31, 2023
Invitations to Submit sent no later than October 31, 2023 (earlier in many cases)
Deadline to submit a final manuscript: December 1, 2023 - earlier submissions encouraged
Completion of the first round of reviews - March 2024
Completion of the second round of reviews and final decisions - May/June 2024
Accepted manuscripts will be published online through the ‘online first’ process as soon as they are accepted - thus, papers could be published online as early as January 2024.
Compilation into a formal issue of P&S will depend on the processes and timing of the above steps. As a point of reference, Preach 2018 was held in June 2018, and the special issue was formally released in January 2020, but many of the articles appeared online months earlier. The special issue for Preach 2020 will be in 2023, but the articles have appeared through ‘online first’ publication since early 2021!
